Every Wednesday from 12:00-12:50 The Sigma Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma hosts an organizational meeting. During each of these meetings a guest speaker addresses the members of The Sigma Chapter as part of a series of guest lecturers. This series of chosen speakers is referred to as: The H. Wayne Snyder Distinguished Guest Lecturer Series. To get an idea of the caliber of individuals that speak at these Wednesday meetings, you may view our library of past speakers. Otherwise, lecturers tend to reside in the Actuarial Science, Risk Management and Insurance, or Healthcare industries. Most speakers tend to have at least five years experience in their respective careers. Below is a short biography on this week's guest speaker.

Daniel Brettler is responsible for all aspects of risk management & insurance products and services delivered to Life Science & Technology clients of Conner Strong Companies, Inc. In addition, he has management responsibilities for growing the practice within the strategic plan of the overall insurance brokerage.

Brettler has 20 years of solid risk management & insurance experience, the majority of which has been devoted exclusively to the Life Science & Technology industries. Specific areas of insurance expertise include on a global basis Products Liability, Human Clinical Trials, Directors’ & Officers’ Liability and Property Coverage for GMP facilities.

Brettler began his insurance career as an Account Executive servicing multi-national clients for one of the largest insurance brokerage firms in the world. After having been principal of a regional technology brokerage firm, Brettler founded, developed and ultimately sold his Life Science & Technology specialty insurance brokerage firm to Conner Strong. He continues as the Practice Leader of this highly specialized division.

Brettler received his BBA degree in Risk Management and Insurance from Temple University.
